The legendary Valerie Simpson presents the acclaimed conductor, composer, pianist, and visionary artist Damien Sneed for the live recording of Revelation & Jubilation: A Symphony of Spirit at the historic Town Hall. Kicking off Black Music Month, Revelation & Jubilation unfolds as a sweeping and immersive journey - interweaving African drumming, spoken word, spirituals, art songs, and deeply expressive ballads with exhilarating rhythmic textures and soaring symphonic moments. Sneed will lead his groundbreaking ensemble the Orchestra of Tomorrow in an evening that includes guests such as Kim Burrell, Twinkie Clark, Jacqueline Echols-McCarley, Phylicia Rashad and Matthew Whitaker. This is more than a concert - it is the full realization of Damien Sneed's artistic voice: expansive, unapologetic, and deeply rooted. A living, breathing tapestry of sound where tradition meets innovation, and where every note speaks to the soul.
