This event is 13 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 13 years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be eligible for a refund. All concert ticket sales are final and non-refundable. All patrons must have valid government-issued Photo ID available upon entry. All teenage patrons must be ticketed like adults, and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while inside the jazz club. All patrons must be aged 13 or older. Sorry, no children under 13 are permitted. Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro has a STRICT No Cell Phones, No Cameras Policy at all times during all showtimes inside the music room. Violation of this policy while inside the venue may result in removal from the club without ticket refunds. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside the building, and there are NO PETS ALLOWED at anytime. *Legitimate Service Dogs must be wearing full credentials at all times upon entry, and owner must have licensing papers available upon staff request for service dogs. Danny Barker Tribute Band wsg Cynthia SayerDanny Barker was a towering figure in New Orleans jazz historya master guitarist, banjoist, vocalist, composer, and historian whose career spanned more than five decades. Born in 1909, Barker performed and recorded with an extraordinary roster of jazz legends, including Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Sidney Bechet, Billie Holiday, Lester Young, Ella Fitzgerald, and Count Basie. His rhythmic drive and deep knowledge of blues and early jazz made him a sought-after collaborator during the swing era in New York and beyond.Returning to New Orleans later in life, Barker became a passionate cultural ambassador and mentor. In 1970 he founded the Fairview Baptist Church Brass Band, guiding and inspiring a new generation of musiciansincluding future stars of the citys brass band revival. Through his performances, mentorship, and writings, Barker preserved and revitalized traditional New Orleans jazz, ensuring that its spirit, repertoire, and storytelling traditions would endure for generations to come.The Danny Barker tribute band, let by master artist, Detroit Brooks pays tribute to Barkers musical legacy and for this performance they will be joined by special guest, Cynthia Sayer. Cynthia Sayer is an internationally acclaimed jazz banjoist and vocalist known for her vibrant stage presence and masterful command of the four-string banjo. A leading figure in traditional and swing jazz, she has performed at major festivals, concert halls, and clubs around the world, helping to redefine the banjo as a dynamic and expressive front-line instrument. Sayer has appeared on film and television soundtracks, toured extensively as a bandleader and soloist, and earned praise for both her virtuosic musicianship and engaging performances. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.
