Darren Hanlon

This year marks 20 years since Darren Hanlon began his infamous solo Christmas shows. Back in 2005 he decided to finish his year with just two shows, one at Sydney’s Mandarin Club and the other at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne. It was meant to be a one-off situation but each year it has grown under its own steam.
 
This year he’s planned out yet another lap around the country playing city pubs and country halls, armed with his beat-up old guitar, a road-worn banjo, and his ever-growing swag of songs.
 
 He will appear at Howler on Saturday the 18th of December with special guests.

 The kitchen will be serving a full menu from 5pm (Tues - Fri) and 2pm (Sat - Sun) till late including vegan and vegetarian options.

 A park and ride, council operated carpark is located immediately outside of Howler's doors.

Howler is conveniently located just a two minute walk from both the Route 19 Coburg tram (stop 21), and Jewel train station on the Upfield line.

We adjoin the Upfield Bike Path and have many designated bike parks on site.
