Joey Lightbulb is a man of his word. The Fan of the People promised to get his first ever tattoo if he sold out a FIFTH Night Cat show and - AYOOOO - he hit the magic number two hours before doors opened. The Golden Plains Interstitial champion is bringing the most guests he's ever had on stage to his first headline show of the year JOEY LIGHTBULB: BY REQUEST. A firm believer in the Group Assignment nature of life, Lightbulb's DMs are open for business and he wants your best song requests.
Lightbulb is on on a tear. In the last two years he’s supported Marlon Williams, The Presets, Chet Faker, Tash Sultana, Roisin Murphy, sold 3000 tickets to the Night Cat, crushed it at Meadow and Townfolk Festivals and stopped talking so much on the mic (*citation needed). On May 9 there’ll be special guests Phil Jamieson and Kylie Auldist doing a one-off duet, Chaz & Penk recreating their Summadayze set, Camp Dad as Master Splinter, The Business of Ferrets, The Summer Donnas plus The Runway Slay™, drink specials all while Lightbulb plays 10pm-3am.
He'll drop all heaters from Armand Van Helden, Kylie Minogue, RAYE, Eats Everything, Bob Sinclar, Bjork, Bicep, Olivia Rodrigo, CHIC, Public Figures, Kelis, fred again.., Crooked Man, The Communards, Flight of the Conchords, Harvey Sutherland, Basement Jaxx, Soulwax, Bad Bunny, The Avalanches, Cardi B, Cut Copy, Todd Terje, Crazy P, Flume and loads more. Things will start funky and fresh then zig zag through UK bass, nasty breaks, disco edits, chuggy house, treacherous techno and drum'n'bass with a few indie bangers to keep you singing into your mate's faces.
