The first installment in the Rebuild of Evangelion, a reimagining of the 1999 psychological mecha anime. Fifteen years after the cataclysmic Second Impact, an apocalyptic event originating in the Antarctic ice caps, Shinji Ikari receives a letter from his estranged father Gendo, who works for the covert paramilitary organization, NERV.
