The project of American singer-songwriter Emily Sprague, Florist have been making emotionally moving music for close to 15 years. In that time, the band have released five albums, including 2025’s Jellywish. 

The album was well received by critics, with Pitchfork calling it “tender yet expansive” and The Line of Best Fit proclaiming the album “Florist's most intimate work to date.”The songs of Florist are built around Sprague’s voice and guitar, intimate in tone but expansive in vision. Sometimes that world is quiet and solitary, as heard on the self-reflective Emily Alone. Other times it blooms into something vivid and collaborative, as on the technicolor dreamscape of Jellywish.

Whether sparse or full, acoustic or electric, Florist’s music holds a constant sense of wonder and presence - a reminder that love, loss, and transformation are all part of the same shared fabric.On stage, Florist takes many forms, but at its centre is Sprague’s songwriting: delicate, searching, and magnetic. Her songs offer listeners an invitation - to sit inside life’s mysteries, to hold joy and grief at once, and to believe in the quiet magic of existence.

Ben Chavasse is a singer-songwriter based in Tāmaki Makaurau, New Zealand. He embraces the indie-folk genre while incorporating rock, punk, and jazz influences. His songs explore themes of adolescence, mental health, and reconciliation.
