The Moses Yoofee Trio is a Berlin-based jazz ensemble renowned for their dynamic fusion of jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and soul. Formed in 2020, the trio comprises pianist and producer Moses Yoofee, bassist Roman Klobe-Baranga, and drummer Noah Fürbringer. Yoofee, a prodigious talent recognized as a “young jazz genius” by Tagesspiegel at just 14, has been a prominent figure in Germany’s jazz scene for over a decade. Klobe-Baranga and Fürbringer, both accomplished musicians in their own right, joined forces with Yoofee during their studies at Berlin’s Jazz Institute. Their collaboration has led to a series of electrifying live performances and a growing international following, with notable appearances at festivals such as Eurosonic, Reeperbahn, and We Out Here .

The trio’s debut mini-album, Ocean (2023), released via LEITER/BMG, showcased their ability to blend traditional jazz with contemporary influences, capturing the spontaneity and energy of their live performances. Building on this success, their first full-length album, MYT (2025), further explores their genre-defying sound. The album features 13 original tracks that seamlessly integrate minimalist piano motifs, intricate polyrhythms, and shimmering keyboard textures, drawing inspiration from artists like J Dilla, Madlib, Robert Glasper, and Yussef Dayes . Their music has garnered acclaim for its youthful energy and innovative approach, earning them the German Jazz Prize for Best Live Act in 2024 and solidifying their position at the forefront of Europe’s evolving electronic nu-jazz scene.
