Sam Eastmond - Trumpet
Dan Fawcett-Tuke - guitar
Eva Holmes - Bass guitar
Miles Pillinger - Drum kit
About:
Saxophonist and chaotic reveller Jamie Harms presents incisive new arrangements of John Zorn's monolithic MASADA songbook, drawing on snarling post-punk and dreamy sephardic surf.
HARMSADA, a portmanteau of 'Harms' and 'MASADA', evolved out of NYJO's UK tour performing Zorn's work for big band, which Jamie had the privilege of playing alto on. Under the watchful eyebrow of long time Zorn collaborator Sam Eastmond, Jamie has assembled a new quintet to play his and Sam's interpretations of MASADA.
