From the vibrant streets of Lusaka to the soulful rhythms of London, Hil St Soul, led by the enchanting Hilary Mwelwa, has been serenading audiences with a unique blend of neo-soul, jazz and R&B. Her voice, described by Vibe Magazine as "rich, velvety... that warms the inside like a spot of tea", has graced stages alongside legends like James Brown and D'Angelo.​

Hilary's musical journey is as inspiring as her melodies. Born in Zambia and relocating to London at the age of five, she was immersed in a diverse musical environment, from traditional Zambian tunes to the classics of Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. While she pursued a degree in biological sciences at London's Westminster University, her passion for music led her to explore the city's vibrant music scene, eventually forming Hil St Soul with producer Victor Redwood-Sawyerr. Their debut album "Soul Organic" became an underground sensation, showcasing Hilary's ability to blend disco-driven grooves with laid-back hip-hop rhythms and gospel harmonies.​

After a decade-long hiatus, Hil St Soul returned with the critically acclaimed album "Back in Love", featuring tracks like "One Life" and "Blessed", which have resonated deeply with fans old and new. Her performances are known for their intimate connection with the audience, often described as therapeutic and uplifting experiences.
