The Hickey-Shanafelt 9ollective, led by long-time friends Kent Hickey and Alex Shanafelt, is a modern jazz nonet dedicated to writing, commissioning, and performing original music, written by local artists for the Indianapolis community. Founded in 2019, the group is composed of established and up-and-coming professionals who share a passion for connecting with people through new music. The band?s versatile sound and broad stylistic range keeps every show fresh and engaging for every listener. The group has released two studio albums: ?illuminate? in 2022 and most recently ?The Kaleidoscope Suite? in May of 2025. This performance will feature music from the new record as well as works commissioned for the group by friends of the band. Join us for an evening of intimate modern jazz!

Tickets may be picked up 2 hours prior to the show. Customers must present the confirmation and a pictue ID.

Parking is available in the Butler University Parking Garage which is North of Clowes Memorial Hall & the Schrott Center. Entry is off of Sunset Avenue.
