Join South Shields superstar Joe McElderry and his unstoppable 90-year-old Grandma Hilda as they bring their smash-hit podcast “That’s Ridiculous” to Consett Comedy Festival 2026 for a one-off live show bursting with laughter, cheek, and pure Geordie charm.

Hilda’s decades of life experience mean absolutely nothing is off limits. Expect mischievous digs, honest truths, and the iconic “Help Me Hilda” segment — where audience dilemmas are tackled with the kind of advice only a 90-year-old legend can get away with. And of course, Joe will be doing his best to keep things under control… which usually lasts all of about 12 seconds.

From Tinder lessons to tales that definitely shouldn’t be said out loud at a rugby club, this live show promises big laughs, heartfelt moments, and that uniquely chaotic bond only Joe and Hilda can create.
