Keiko Komaki Duo*Happy Hour Concert Series* featuring Keiko Komaki DuoKeiko Komaki is an accomplished keyboardist and pianist born and raised in Kagoshima, Japan, who began studying classical piano at age five and later graduated from Kunitachi College of Music. After working in Tokyos music scene, she moved to New Orleans in 2006, where she quickly became an active part of the citys musical community, performing with artists such as the late Marva Wright, Benny Turner, Leo Nocentelli, George Porter Jr., Vasti Jackson, and many others.In 2014, she joined the international collective Playing For Change Band, touring more than 20 countries and performing with artists including The Doobie Brothers, Little Feat, and Ellis Hall. Today, she leads her own projects, including the KJD Trio and Komaki Soul, while continuing to perform regularly across New Orleans in clubs, residencies, and events such as WWOZ Piano Night. Doors: 4 pm Show: 4:30 - 6 pm Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro presents live weekly concerts. You can see these shows every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday in person or by streaming on the Snug Harbor Facebook page. This is a free performance with no ticketing.
