Larimae is a UK-based electronic duo, consisting of Roma Agnihotri and Sam Hughes. After meeting at university, they bonded over a shared love for experimental music inspired by an eccentric lecturer who broadened their perspectives on audio. Shortly after graduating, Roma and Sam started using these ideas, incorporating them into their dance and electronic tracks. Larimae quickly started DJing in London and throwing raves in the UK countryside.
During this time, they began testing their music, gradually adapting their songs to suit the environment through tape loops, organic sounds and sampling. Their sound is also shaped by custom synths and instruments hand-made by Roma. Most recently, Larimae remixed singer Ruti’s track “Monster” as part of a remix package. This was alongside a version from Mala and premiered by Mixmag.
They are set to release two new singles later this month and are booked to perform at Field Day 2026.
