Elle va croiser la route de Florence Conrad, une riche et excentrique américaine, qui a comme idée folle de monter la première unité féminine d’ambulancières de front. Y voyant son ticket retour, Jacqueline va s’engager, sans le savoir, dans une épopée qui marquera l’histoire.
