Reggae music has often had an edge but there’s another, gentler side to it, and on Spring Bank Holiday Sunday, the Jam House rejoices the romantic with the Best of Lover’s Rock for one night only, with live performances from Birmingham’s own Tempted 2 Touch, special guests, and sounds from our own Pete Sherriff.
The soulful sound of Romantic Reggae came to the fore in the ‘Seventies by the likes of Johnny Nash, chart-toppers Ken Boothe and John Holt and especially, Marcia Griffiths and the “Lover’s Rock icon” Beres Hammond.
Tempted 2 Touch and a collection of special guests will perform many Lovers’ Rock greatest hits in over two hours of live music, supported by the Sound System selection from your favourite Jam House DJs.
Join us on Spring Bank Sunday for this Lover’s Rock Revue – open until 2am – and the best way to make the most of the Monday morning lie-in!
