Martin Stephenson & The Daintees hail from the North East of England. Their debut single 'Roll On Summertime' was released in 1982 on Kitchenware Records (home of Prefab Sprout, The Kane Gang, Hurrah!).
'Boat To Bolivia' was the debut album by Martin Stephenson & The Daintees. After appearances on Channel 4's 'The Tube' and BBC2's 'Whistle Test' the album went on to become one of the essential releases of 1986.
In 1988, the second Martin Stephenson & The Daintees album 'Gladsome, Humour & Blue' was released which featured the singles 'There Comes A Time' & 'Wholly Humble Heart'.
