In 2023, he made his musical director debut with the award-winning production Billy Strayhorn: Something to Live For, premiering in Pittsburgh. Mathew has appeared as a guest soloist with the Aspen Chamber Symphony and the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, composed for the 82-piece Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra, and created Finding Free for Alvin Ailey Dance Company’s 2024/25 season.
