Ideas Man, noun : 'A person who is particularly good at thinking of new or original ideas.' That's what Mike Bubbins is. Not an admin man. Not an organised man. Not an especially dedicated man. This comedy tour, for instance, is a case in point. Mike has got loads of really funny stories. He's wonderful at telling them. So he had the idea of sharing those stories with people, to give them some big laughs and a great night out. He's left every single other thing that needs to be done in order to make that happen, to other people. Except the name. IDEASMAN was his idea.

Mike Bubbins is a Welsh comedian, actor, writer and broadcaster. He is the creator, co-writer and star of the hit BBC sitcom Mammoth. When it was first transmitted the debut series of Mammoth was the biggest debut sitcom on BBC2 in five years. Series two will screen in December 2025.

Mike is one of the hosts of The Socially Distant Sports Bar. Launched in the lockdown of 2020 when there was no live sport, the podcast became a huge hit and five years and almost 300 episodes, one of the Uk’s largest Patreon subscriber bases, two sold out tours and arena shows later, is still going strong. 

Lastly, and while he may be blowing his own trumpet, Mike’s pretty sure he’s the only comedy performer, writer & actor in the world who as well as being an ex-professional rugby player, coach and PE teacher has also been a finalist in the European Elvis Tribute Act Championship. Honestly.

Tickets left at the box office for collection may be picked up from 18:30 for the 20:00 show and from 23:00 for the midnight show. This is a general admission venue. Groups are advised to arrive early, preferably before 19:30, if they wish to be seated together (although this cannot be guaranteed). The cardholder must take the credit card and Ticketmaster Booking Reference Number as proof of purchase. If the card presented does not match the details in the booking, entry may be refused.

Street parking is very limited. Strongly advise public transport.

The stairway from street level to the venue has been made extra wide in order to accommdate those with mobility problems, and staff will be available to assist. There is also a disabled toilet.
