Mozarts dramatic Don Giovanni overture opens an evening wrapped in warmth and beauty, and his Symphony No. 39 triumphs at the close, revealing the master at the top of his game. In-between nestles Schneiders Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola, and the chance for MSO soloists Ausra Jasineviciute and Ruvim Echiusciu to really shine in a showpieces for strings.
