A fantastic double bill featuring two of the most innovative and most distinctive groups in UK creative music. Both have been touring debut albums this year and feature superb line-ups of heavy weight improvisers, in ensembles of extreme flexibility, musical courage and the widest of emotional palettes. Both books of music combine powerful freedom and exploration with memorable melodies, driving swing and emotional intensity and this evening's gig will feature some collaborative pieces mixing both ensembles.
