Pat Metheny returns to The Parker for two nights as he launches his newest project Side-Eye?featuring rising stars and kindred spirits in jazz. ?a collaboration with rising jazz talents. A trailblazing guitarist and composer, Metheny emerged on the international scene in 1974 with vibraphonist Gary Burton. His debut album Bright Size Life (1975) redefined jazz guitar for a new generation with its blend of melody, swing, and innovation. Over his career, Metheny has worked with legends like Herbie Hancock, David Bowie, and Ornette Coleman, and explored everything from solo guitar to orchestral and electronic music. He's a pioneer in instrument design, including the 42-string Pikasso guitar and the Orchestrion project. A 20-time Grammy winner and 2018 NEA Jazz Master, Metheny continues to inspire, mentor, and push musical boundaries on stages around the world. Part of the TD Bank Jazz Series.
