Doors: 8PM / Show: 9PM / 21+ Chicago post-punk trio Plum released their debut album Cant Hold On To It in 2024, praised by Audio Fuzz as a vibrant mix of sounds, weaving together the upbeat rhythms of New Wave and No Wave, the experimental edge of Krautrock, and the gritty charm of Indie Sleaze. The albums sound centers on the tension between Jeff Kelleys angular guitar and off-kilter structures, Heather Perrys melodic sensibility and dance-driven bass, and Karissa Talanians intuitive motorik grooves, yielding music thats both jagged and infectious, moody and immediate.Known for their energetic live performances, Plum has shared stages with Jack White, Acid Mothers Temple, Keiji Haino, and Brainiac. In December 2023, they completed a ten-date tour of Japan.Eric Ridder (Em Spel, Vaya) joined on drums in 2025. The bands second album, Bodies in Motion, arrives August 20, 2026, a knottier and more intricate record built on interlocking rhythms and restless motion.
