For the first time in Sydney, Prins Thomas and Bjørn Torske come together for a special b2b set.
Born Thomas Moen Hermansen, Prins Thomas is one of the key figures behind Norway’s internationally celebrated space disco scene. Emerging from Oslo’s growing club culture in the early 1990s, he gained global recognition through his work with Lindstrøm before establishing himself as a prolific producer, remixer, DJ, and label owner. Through his labels Full Pupp and Internasjonal, as well as releases on Eskimo, Playhouse, Smalltown Supersound, and Mule Musiq, he has built a body of work that draws from cosmic disco, house, techno, jazz, psychedelic rock, and electronic experimentation.
Joining him is Bjørn Torske, one of the pioneers of Norwegian electronic music. Beginning his career in Tromsø during the late 1980s, Torske was among the first producers in Norway to release minimalist techno and house records. Across a career spanning more than three decades, he has developed a distinctive sound shaped by disco, dub, ambient music, house, and leftfield electronics, releasing acclaimed records on labels including Smalltown Supersound while becoming a lasting influence on generations of producers and DJs.
Longtime collaborators whose shared history includes the album Square One, Prins Thomas and Bjørn Torske bring together two singular musical voices from the forefront of Norwegian electronic music. Expect a journey through cosmic disco, deep house, dubby rhythms, psychedelic textures, and unexpected selections from two artists whose influence continues to resonate across dancefloors worldwide.
