Antonio Gades, the flamenco dancer from Alicante, is a constant presence in the backdrop of this performance: his ideas, his essence, his revolution, his artistic audacity, and his perception of scenic spaces are ever visible. That is because his vision of dance is not far removed from the concepts that define what dance is today. ?Crónica de un suceso? is not a biographical journey and does not aim to imitate Antonio Gades. The performance recalls the points of inflection in the impeccable road taken by Gades in which the language of flamenco dance crosses barriers towards the ultimate expression of the Avant Garde. It is his dance, and his concept of the art of flamenco that have come to be the body and soul of the 21st century.
