Rick Margitza New Orleans All-Stars Rick Margitza is an internationally acclaimed jazz saxophonist whose expressive, hard-swinging style bridges modern jazz with deep bebop roots. Born in New York and raised in Paris, Margitza gained wide recognition in the late 1980s as a member of Miles Daviss band, appearing on the Grammy-winning album Aura and the live recording Amandla. He has since led his own projects and recorded extensively as a bandleader and sideman, collaborating with artists such as Chick Corea, Tony Williams, Eddie Gomez, and McCoy Tyner.
