Tommy Paxton-Beesley pka River Tiber is a Grammy-award winning singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Toronto, Canada. He released his debut EP The Star Falls in 2013 and followed up in 2015 with When the Time Is Right. A track from the latter EP, No Talk, was sampled by producer Boi-1da for No Tellin, from Drakes 2015 album If Youre Reading This Its Too Late. Paxton-Beesley has also collaborated with BADBADNOTGOOD on their 2015 album Sour Soul, with Kaytranada on his Polaris Music Prize-winning 99.9%, and with Jazz Cartier on a track for Hotel Paranoia River Tiber released his debut full-length album Indigo in 2016. In 2017, he won a MuchMusic Video Award for Acid Test and the song was a shortlisted finalist for the SOCAN Songwriting Prize in 2017. On December 9, 2022, he released his sophomore record Dreaming Eyes. The album release was accompanied by a music video for the acclaimed track Hypnotized which was conceptualized and directed by Leo Aguirre. Hypnotized was also sampled on Kendrick Lamars Savior from his 2023 Grammy Award-winning album Mr. Morale No Tellin by Drake, Broken Clocks by SZA, AstroThunder by Travis Scott, and I Keep Calling by James Blake. Other artists who have used Tommys music include Mac Miller, Chris Brown, James Blake, Camila Cabello, Post Malone, Jhen Aiko, Kodak Black, and Ty Dolla $ign to name a few. Tommy collaborated with Kaytranada for Hold On from his Grammy nominated album Timeless, was recently sampled by OVO-signing Smiley for his single Spill the Tea, and was also sampled Drake and Partynextdoors track Small Town Fame their album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. River Tibers latest EP release Tell Her with Justin Nozuka, follows his highly acclaimed album Dreaming Eyes. During summer 2025, Tiber performed headline debuts across Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and London. The tour capped off with the release of River Tibers NPR Tiny Desk on August 5.
