The RSO begins the 2025/26 season with passionate rhythms of Spain and Russia. Rimsky-Korsakov's Cappriccio Espagnol, a vibrant celebration of Spanish folk music, showcases the colorful range of the orchestra, as the themes dance through the instrument families. Ponce's Concierto del Sur features the romantic sounds of the classical guitar, performed by returning guest virtuoso Daniel Bolshoy. The concert powerfully concludes with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5, a sweeping journey of emotion, from its tragic and brooding opening to its triumphant finale.
