Northside Musicians Choir is teaming up with the most incredible Rowena Wise to bring you an incomparable experience at the Brunswick Ballroom.
The Northside Musicians Choir, directed by Grace Robinson, is made up of 80 people from the local music and creative community — musicians, music lovers, artists, creatives, and people who can frikken sing. Together, they perform intricate five-part arrangements that move between pop, traditional folk, contemporary, and gospel, building something exciting, powerful, and deeply human.
The evening will open with the choir's own set of focused repertoire, shaped in weekly rehearsals at APAX Warehouse in Preston — a space that has become home for this growing community.
Then, Rowena Wise takes the stage, performing her incredible long-awaited new album solo, supported by the full force of the 80-piece choir, arranged by Grace Robinson.
It is hard to explain what this many voices singing together feels like. This is not just a gig, but a shared experience that circles around community, voices, harmony, and perfect dissonance. The feeling you will
experience in this beautiful ballroom is unexplainable; the only thing you can do is simply attend.
All proceeds from the night will support the ongoing running of the choir, helping keep it accessible for young people in the arts. The room fills, the harmonies swell, and suddenly you're part of it — whether you mean to
be or not.
Come and feel it for yourself.
