Born into a gospel-rich family in Gause, Texas, her rich storytelling and authenticity have captivated and inspired audiences worldwide as she is often compared to Bonnie Rait and Aretha Franklin. Ruthie mixes a wide palette of American song forms, from gospel and blues to jazz, folk and soul.

Now, with a new album, Mileage, recently released on Sun Records, Ruthie Foster stands as a testament to the power of authenticity and resilience in music.
