On Thursday December 4, Saulius Petreikis and his backing musicians will lead you on a journey a colorful journey through the sonic treasures of the Baltic and other lands. It will be a journey up the branches of the mythical tree of the world, with Saulius Petreikis as a sincere, expressive and always unpredictable guide.Come early for a pre-concert art fair. Doors 5:30pm, Concert 7pm.Bio:Saulius Petreikis is an internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, recording artist, composer and performer.Sauliuss performances are charged with exceptional energy and spirit-lifting improvisations breaking down boundaries between traditional Folk and experimental World music genres. His music is incredibly diverse and rich in texture and color, thus electrifying both younger and older music lovers from different corners of the world.Able to play more than 50 different wind instruments that he has gathered from all over the world, Saulius is also regarded as the only professional musician able to play many of the ancient Lithuanian/Baltic wind instruments.Saulius Petreikis has released 11 solo albums and has collaborated with other artists in recording more than 50 albums. As a musician as well as a composer he is constantly being invited to participate in different local and international projects by other composers, choreographers, theater and film directors.Recently, he has performed in several international music productions, including Two Steps From Hell, Hans Zimmer: A New Dimension, and The World of Hans Zimmer An Immersive Symphony.Saulius Petreikis also creates music for video games. His most recent contribution was for the game Throne and Liberty.
