Formed in 2008, the Scott Reeves Jazz Orchestra is comprised of 18 of New Yorks most acclaimed jazz musicians, including vocalist Carolyn Leonhart and saxophonist Steve Wilson. Scott Reeves is a veteran NY trombonist and Professor Emeritus at the City College of New York. He also taught at the Juilliard School, Indiana University and other colleges. The bands repertoire, all scored by Reeves, consists of arrangements of works by Shorter, Corea, Jobim, as well as standards and originals. The band has released two records on the Origin label Portraits and Places and Without a Trace.
