Shohei Toyoda and Koyo Morita present a unique set of instrumentals and songs inspired by music from Nashvilles one-and-only Chet Atkins fingerstyle guitar. Berklee College of Music grad/winner of Japans National fingerstyle championship and winner of the International Thumbpicking contest, Shohei Toyoda (residing in Kyoto Japan,) grew up in Dublin Ohio and is back in town for another US tour! His partner, Koyo Morita, is the Japanese winner of the Player Plus Studio Sessions Contest hosted by Fender and has over 60K followers on his social media platform. The show will feature classic fingerpicking tunes like Cannonball Rag, old swing tunes like Lady Be Good and works by Chet Atkins and Tommy Emmanuel as well as our original compositions. First time showcasing in Cleveland at The Treelawn, this will surely be a night of toe-tapping music! His country guitar instructional book published in 2025 was ranked number 1 on Amazons guitar book category. His new album One Story released in Nov of 2025 has gotten many positive feedbacks from guitar players all over the world.
