The bands third collaboration with Bay Area legend (and longtime Mother Hips frontman) Tim Bluhm, who serves as the albums producer, Kaw-fis Bruth-urs finds Jamie and Kellen Coffis letting their guard down, enjoying the creative ride as much as the destination itself. For every signature-sounding song like Cut Right Through a heartland rock anthem built for highway drives and long horizons, as sunny as the bands Golden State homeland and as hook-driven as a Tom Petty classic theres another track that stretches the bands sound into new territory. The result is The Coffis Brothers widest-ranging album yet, running the gamut from bluesy, blue-eyed soul (Face the Music) to jangling, harmony-heavy power pop (Do You Want To). DEAD WINTER CARPENTERSHailing from North Lake Tahoe, CA, americana/roots rock band Dead Winter Carpenters has built a reputation for pouring their heart and soul into each performance. Celebrating 15 years on the road in 2025, the band has worked hard to position themselves, wrote Portland Metronome, at the forefront of a youthful generation trying to redefine what string music is and what it can do. That progressive nature shines through loud and clear on the bands latest release Sinners n Freaks. The 5-song EP is DWCs fifth studio effort and is a celebration of the hard roads previously traveled and the road that lies ahead. Recorded at Baxters Ranch in Auburn, CA, the band found a masterful ally with a keen ear and sensibility in studio owner/engineer Matt Baxter. Born of an organic, roots based approach, Sinners n Freaks rings true to the Sierra Nevada foothills.
