Out of that landscape of grit and grace comes The Fretliners, a band carrying forward the oldest tradition in American music: telling the truth. You can point to their Telluride and RockyGrass New Artist wins, their musicianship, their harmonies, their ability to command a room. But those things only tell part of the story. The Fretliners draw from bluegrass, Americana, folk, and rock to create something that feels both familiar and completely their own. Their songs carry the weight of long roads, changing seasons, lost loves, and the quiet hope that keeps people moving forward.
