This full-band show takes place at Chats Palace, 42-44 Brooksby's Walk, London E9 6D.
Formed in 1988 by brothers Tony and Chris Griffiths, The Real People were 90s Britpop pioneers signed to CBS in 1989. After releasing their debut album and touring internationally with acts like The Pixies and David Bowie, they recorded their second album, Marshmallow Lane, with legendary producer Jimmy Miller.
The band is also renowned for mentoring a young Noel Gallagher, then a roadie for Inspiral Carpets, and his brother Liam. They invited Oasis to their studio, helping produce the demo tape that secured their Creation Records deal. The Griffiths contributed to Oasis’s early work, with Tony providing backing vocals on “Supersonic” and Chris co-writing the B-side “Rockin’ Chair.” They continued writing for other artists, including a Top 10 hit for Cher.
