The Sheringham Shantymen are a renowned male vocal group from the coastal town of Sheringham…Norfolk oldest ‘Boy-Band!’. Dedicated to preserving and celebrating maritime musical traditions.
Founded in 1990 by local fishermen, crew of The RNLI, and music enthusiasts, the group performs a spirited repertoire of traditional sea shanties, folk ballads, and contemporary maritime arrangements, delivered with rich harmonies, humour, and theatrical flair.
Regular performers at festivals, pubs, and community events across the UK and internationally, the Shantymen support The RNLI and local charities through benefit concerts, gigs and events. Their recordings and live shows aim to connect audiences with seafaring heritage while fostering community spirit.
