The Tom Barford Quintet bring a bold, modern approach to jazz, mixing up-tempo grooves, rich harmonies, and spirited improvisation. Known for their tight interplay and adventurous compositions, the group creates music that feels fresh, unpredictable and full of energy. As Jazzwise says, “You rarely get mirth and musicality so enmeshed, the band are evidently having the best of times as they move between tight ensemble shapes and splendidly rapturous solo spaces".

Tom Was the winner of the 2017 Keeny Wheeler prize and has since released albums with label such as Edition Records and Whirlwind Recordings. Come and hear his latest compositions with this all star line up of musicians.
