Australian alternative pop/rock project Winters End makes a highly anticipated return with the release of “Deadtree”, a deeply moving single written in honour of late band member and brother Christopher. After stepping away from music in 2020 following his sudden passing, frontwoman Marissa (Riss) re-emerges with a renewed sense of purpose — channelling grief, memory and rebirth into her most emotionally resonant work to date. Produced by long-time collaborator Lachlan Mitchell (The Jezabels, The Vines, The Whitlams), Deadtree blends Winters End’s signature cinematic intensity with raw vulnerability, marking a powerful evolution in sound and storytelling. Winters End first captured attention with the award-winning single Mayfair, which received major rotation across 35+ US college radio stations and helped propel the band to international stages including Los Angeles, Toronto and SXSW 2019. Now, with Deadtree, Riss continues the creative legacy she began with Christopher — honouring their bond while forging a new artistic path forward. Ocean Wizard is a newly formed three piece original blues rock act that hail from the South Coast NSW. Sam Ackerman guitarist, vocalist and song writer has teamed up with Luke Thomas on Drums and David Adron on bass and harmony vocals. Sam's riffed based and melodic originals take you on a dynamic and emotional ride with life experienced lyrics, crescendos and undulations of cool beats and awesome grooves. This exciting group of musicians will keep you entertained and up dancing, giving their all to each performance, leaving the crowd wanting more. Opening is Famous Will a Melbourne-based musician who quit his job, sold everything he owned, and hit the road to tour Australia. Inspired by artists like Neil Finn and Rai Thistlethwayte, Will crafts harmony-rich melodies, with his acoustic guitar anchoring every song. He has shared the stage with iconic acts including Thirsty Merc, Glenn Shorrock, Wendy Matthews, Ross Wilson, James Reyne, Mick Thomas, and more. His self-titled debut album topped both the Triple J Unearthed and Apple Music charts, cementing his place as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging voices. Now, Famous Will is back on the road, writing and recording his highly anticipated new album. ____________________________________________
