Audioslave’s Out of Exile Gets Vinyl Reissue, Including First-Ever Liquid Vinyl Release

Audioslave’s second album, Out of Exile, is soon to return to vinyl thanks to an upcoming remaster and reissue from UMe arriving June 12th. Included is the first-ever liquid vinyl pressing of the 2005 LP.

This is especially welcome given the current extreme price of the album’s initial vinyl pressings, which as of time of writing go for more than $800 for a copy via Amazon, while hovering around $150 in other used seller markets.

The Out of Exile reissue features a new remaster via Levi Seitz of Black Belt Mastering. It comes in two editions: standard 180g Black Vinyl edition ($37.99)and a limited edition D2C Black Liquid Vinyl pressing ($124.98) inspired by the album’s cover art, housed in a die-cut gatefold jacket designed to showcase the disc, with pre-orders available here.

Out of Exile followed Audioslave’s smash self-titled 2002 debut album. The band — comprised of late Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell alongside Rage Against the Machine members Tom Morello, Brad Wilk, and Tim Commerford — formed following the dissolution of each of their previous groups.

Out of Exile produced the singles “Doesn’t Remind Me,” “Be Yourself” and “Your Time Has Come,” with “Doesn’t Remind Me” also snagging the group a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance.
