Taylor Momsen took the stage with her band The Pretty Reckless on Wednesday, April 15th, while opening for AC/DC in Mexico City despite having just been discharged from the hospital hours earlier after being treated overnight for a serious spider bite.
The show wrapped up AC/DC’s Latin American tour, and Momsen did everything in her power to be there. She posted a video to her Instagram of her revving up the crowd and celebrating the moment, and, remarkably, she shows no indication of her significant health scare in the clip.

She captioned the post, “After spending the night in the ER, the great doctors of Mexico made it so I could see all you amazing people tonight, I’ll update you on my health another day, tonight was for all of you, Mexico you were amazing, thank you for so much love, we love you and will return!”
Momsen was bitten by a venomous spider a week ago. She was treated by medics and went on to perform a couple more gigs on the AC/DC tour before being rushed to the hospital a couple days ago after the bite flared up into a nasty rash that spread across her leg.
The spider bite came two years after Momsen was bitten by a bat while onstage supporting AC/DC in Spain.
The Pretty Reckless are still slated to support AC/DC’s upcoming North America tour, as well as play headlining dates of their own. Tickets for the shows are available here.
