Austin Butler to Play Lance Armstrong in Conclave Director’s New Biopic

Having played Elvis and a Master of the Air, Austin Butler now has a more contemporary biopic in the works: The Oscar-nominated actor has been attached to play cyclist Lance Armstrong in a new biopic by Conclave director Edward Berger. The script is being written by Zach Baylin, who previously wrote the script for the Williams family movie King Richard, and Deadline reports that a “frenzied bidding war” has begun between studios for the project.
