Charli XCX has officially announced the release of her new album: Music, Fashion, Film will arrive on July 24th.

Her seventh studio album to date, the project boasts a total of 11 songs spanning 30 minutes and five seconds. In a nod to its title, the album’s cover features a photograph of legendary musical composer John Cale, fashion auteur Marc Jacobs, and famed film director Martin Scorsese.

So far, Charli XCX has shared two songs from the new album: “Rock Music” and “SS26.”

Music, Film, Fashion serves as the follow-up to Charli’s blockbuster sixth album, brat, which CONSEQUENCE named the top release of 2024. Speaking about the new project in a recent TikTok, Charli said, “It’s really different from [brat]. That is a fact, and I love it, and you might not. And that’s cool. But if you do, then that’s cute, but if you don’t, like that’s totally OK, because that’s just what it is to have personal preferences.”

Earlier this year, Charli contributed a soundtrack album to the film Wuthering Heights, which included a collaboration with Cale called “House.”
