Hole haven’t played a show in 14 years, but that may change in the near future. Courtney Love just has teased a reunion tour, and it appears it will involve bassist Melissa Auf der Maur.

On Tuesday, Love shared video clips of Auf der Maur on Instagram set to Hole’s “Malibu.” She tagged the bassist and wrote, “So do we tell the kids about the tour @xmadmx?”

In the comments, Auf der Maur responded, “It starts with eternal love…,” with Love answering, “and cycles through rage, loss, ecstasy, sex, death, poetry, filth, childbirth, the forest, the river the sea the sea… & ends with love.”

After breaking up in 2002, Hole reunited in the early 2010s, but Auf der Maur wasn’t part of that reunion, although she did play a one-off show with the band in April 2012. However, she hasn’t properly toured with Hole since the late ’90s.

Auf der Maur joined the band in 1994, after the death of previous bassist Kristen Pfaff. She played on 1998’s Celebrity Skin, but left Hole in 1999, and subsequently joined the Smashing Pumpkins.

The potential Hole reunion comes as Auf der Maur gets ready to release her autobiography, Even the Good Girls Will Cry: A 90s Rock Memoir, on March 17th, and on the heels of a new documentary on Love, Antiheroine, recently premiering at the Sundance Film Festival.
