Amid his “Aura World Tour,” Diljit Dosanjh stopped by The Tonight Show on Monday night to perform his hit song “Morni.” The Punjabi superstar also sat down with Jimmy Fallon for a brief interview, where he discussed his latest album Aura, his 2023 appearance at Coachella, and his dance moves.
Dosanjh also reflected on the profound symbolism of his recent sold-out Vancouver show, framing it as a “full circle” moment for the Punjabi diaspora. He noted that BC Place is located only two kilometers from the site of the 1914 Komagata Maru incident, where hundreds of Sikhs—despite being British subjects—were refused entry into Canada. “In 1914, our people weren’t allowed into this country,” he remarked. “Now, we’re filling a stadium right next to that site.”
