Even by Donald Trump’s own standards, his reaction to Rob Reiner’s murder is particularly gross.
On Monday, Trump wrote that Reiner’s death, alongside his wife Michele Singer, was “reportedly due to the anger [Reiner] caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
This stands in stark contrast to Reiner’s remarks about the assassination of Charlie Kirk, which he called an “absolute horror.” He said, “I don’t care what your political beliefs are. That’s not acceptable.”
Reiner and Singer’s son, Nick Reiner, has been taken into custody in connection with his parent’s killing.
