Isaac Wood — former frontman of Black Country, New Road — is seemingly making his highly anticipated return.

Earlier this morning, Phoebe Bridgers announced her “The Lost Tour.” Surprisingly, Wood (who has kept quite a low profile since departing BCNR in 2022) is listed as the supporting act for the UK leg. As of now, few details beyond the fact that he is seemingly set to play are known.

Wood served as the lead vocalist and guitarist for Black Country, New Road through their first two albums, For the First Time and the now underground classic Ants from Up There. He left just prior to the latter’s release, with the band subsequently canceling their supporting tour. Out of respect for Wood, they have refrained from playing any song from those two records since.

Bridgers being the catalyst for Wood’s return is fitting, as he referenced Bridgers’ song “Motion Sickness” on BCNR’s first single, “Athens, France.” Woods’ has a few solo tracks from 2019 and 2020 under the alias The Guest. Time will tell if he’ll perform these cuts, or if he’ll pull out new material.
