Interpol Unveil New Single “Iron City”: Stream

Interpol have shared “Iron City,” the latest single from their forthcoming eighth studio album, This Mirror Weighs a Ton.

Following the title track and “See Out Loud” (which the band debuted at Coachella earlier this spring), “Iron City” is said to (per a press release) “channel the tension between past and future that runs throughout This Mirror Weighs a Ton.” Check it out below.

Due out August 28th, This Mirror Weighs a Ton is Interpol’s debut release with Partisan Records. The 12-track LP was produced by Andrew Wyatt (ROSALÍA, Charli xcx) at his studio on Manhattan’s Lower East Side (their first time at a “homebase” studio in roughly a decade). The band’s first album since 2022’s The Other Side of Make-Believe, This Mirror sees Interpol “expand their sonic palette with the addition of strings, woodwinds, layered vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar, and experimental sound design.”

In support of This Mirror, Interpol have a forthcoming North American tour that kicks off July 31st. They have shows scheduled throughout the summer and fall, including dates in Boise, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, and more.
