The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has picked up nine Emmy nominations for its final season, including a nod for Outstanding Variety Series. According to Variety, that is the show’s most nominations ever.
Colbert’s Late Show is also up in a mix of variety series categories: writing, directing, production design, lighting design, sound mixing, picture editing, technical direction and camerawork, and music direction. For Outstanding Variety Series, The Late Show will face off against The Daily Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and Saturday Night Live.
