On Saturday, day three of Lollapalooza 2026 faced weather delays due to heavy rain. Once the doors finally opened at 3:00 p.m., despite the festival’s admirable efforts to make the grounds as habitable as possible, the main stages remained, to put it plainly, muddy as hell. A group of motivated fest-goers decided to make the best of the situation, however, organizing an impromptu lesbian mud wrestling event. No, like, for real.

Lindsey Perrin, an attendee from Indianapolis, got the idea rolling as a half-joke after seeing videos of the state of Chicago’s Grant Park. A semi-viral Instagram post later, and Lollapalooza 2026’s greatest piece of unofficial programming came to life.

According to Bookclub Chicago, a crowd initially gathered in the designated area somewhat hesitant to join the festivities. Once things got going, though, folks began showing off their slamming skills in spectacular fashion. Check out a clip of the moment below.
