Two staples of late ’90s / early 2000s MTV came together on Saturday night, as Limp Bizkit brought out comedian Tom Green for a performance of “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)” at Ottawa Bluesfest.

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst introduced the Ottawa-area native, who walked onto the stage sporting denim overalls and a bushy gray beard. After some banter with the audience, Green joined Durst in singing the Bizkit hit, putting his all into the high-energy song.

The Tom Green Show aired on MTV in 1999 and 2000, at the same time Limp Bizkit were dominating the channel’s video countdown program Total Request Live (TRL).

These days, Green lives on a farm in Ottawa Valley, and recently launched the Crave talk series The Tom Green Farm and a companion podcast, The Tom Green Farmcast.

Limp Bizkit, meanwhile, have a number of North American festivals booked this summer and fall, including Rock Fest, Summer of ’99 and Beyond, and Inkcarceration this month, plus Louder Than Life in September and Aftershock in October. Pick up tickets here.
